A. Frantically Atlantic – Ambient Music / Strolling Musicians

Services provided:

• Two entertainers – 2 - 3 hours of entertainment to suit the client’s needs

• Several options

  • Pre-dinner entertainment with dinner music, during a meal course or between courses. This option also works well for conventions, trade shows, weddings, receptions, garden parties, fundraisers, wine and beer tasting events, as well as black tie events. We can be very flexible to suit the client’s needs.

• Instruments – Fiddle, Tin Whistle, Hammered Dulcimer, Bodhran {Irish Drum}, Guitar and Spoons

• Style – Slow, medium and up-tempo traditional folk and light classical pieces

• Sound equipment optional

B. Frantically Atlantic – Concert 

Services provided:

• Two entertainers – 2 hours of entertainment to suit the client’s needs

• Theatre Style

  • A melange of traditional East Coast Style music, song, anecdotes and snippets reflecting Atlantic Canadian culture (French and English) featuring Fiddle, Tin Whistle, Hammered Dulcimer, Bodhran {Irish Drum}, Guitar, and Spoons

• Sound equipment may be required

C. Frantically Atlantic – Interactive Kitchen Party

Services provided:

• Two entertainers- number of hours of entertainment to suit the client’s needs to be determined

  • Instruments and style – A melange of traditional East Coast Style music, song, anecdotes and snippets reflecting Atlantic Canadian culture (French and English) featuring Fiddle, Tin Whistle, Hammered Dulcimer, Bodhran {Irish Drum}, Guitar, and Spoons

• Sound equipment is required

• Includes:

• Pre-dinner music (Optional)

• Ambient music during the meal (Optional)

• Interactive Kitchen Party / Audience Participation (Stand alone or following a meal)

  • Providing

    • Bodhran’s {Irish Drums} and Spoons - We teach our guests how to play these instruments

    • Old Fashioned Barn Dances

    • Mackinaws (Miramichi Tuxedoes / Lumberjack Shirts)

      (Optional) The “Client” to set up the room with an Atlantic Canadian theme (We have had clients in the past who have set up center pieces on the tables such as seashells, beach stones or beach glass etcetera). We have also had clients who have asked us to hand out “Maritime Style” prizes throughout the event (Kitch items like Connors Brother’s Sardines, Dulse, Plastic Lobsters and Covered-Bridge Potato Chips etcetera) as well as providing wooden spoons for all invited  guests. Again, room set up, prizes and ambiance items to be supplied by the “Client”.

D. Frantically Atlantic - Wedding Ceremonies / Receptions

We understand the importance of having the “big day” flow seamlessly without a hiccup! We work closely with the happy couple, family and friends to make that happen. From Pachelbel to Turlough O’Carolan and There Is Love to your favourite love song we can provide the perfect music for all aspects of the ceremony.

• New! Following the Ceremony let us entertain your guests  while your photos are being taken.

• For receptions we have performed all the way from our Ambient Music Package up to a full blown Kitchen Party!  We also keep the youngsters in mind ;

E. Kids Shows and Community Events

• Sing-alongs, percussion instruments, storytelling and audience participation. Something else that we find fun ... celebrating Atlantic Canada in a light and lively way!

F. Workshops  

• BARN DANCE WORKSHOP Learn traditional 19th century dances. These were popular at social events in 19th century New Brunswick and provided a welcome break from the drudgery of rural life—a great way to meet new folks and have some fun.

• TRADITIONAL CELTIC MUSIC Explore jigs, reels, airs and ballads and how they found their way into contemporary culture. Several diverse instruments such as fiddle, hammered dulcimer, bouzouki, bodhran and whistle will be demonstrated and discussed.

• INTERACTIVE KITCHEN PARTY Providing all of the ingredients necessary to cook up a proper “time”! Try your hand at playing the bodhran or the spoons, kick up your heels to a jig and a reel, take part in a Circassian Circle Dance and sing along to traditional tunes.

• CULTURE AND HISTORY OF ATLANTIC CANADA IN A NUTSHELL A frantic and fun take on Atlantic Canada involving stories, poems, songs, tunes and yarns. Great for all ages ... bring the kids!
